However, Whitney’s seemingly golden life was always clouded by her tumultuous relationships with her overbearing father and her wayward husband, Bobby Brown. Turning to drugs for solace, her mental and physical decline led to her untimely passing in 2012 – and this biopic tracks both the triumphs and the tears, sketching a compelling portrait of the extraordinary life behind the legendary voice.
The movie also stars Oscar nominee Stanley Tuccias Clive Davis, the record producer who transformed Whitney into one of the best-selling female artists of all time.
